About the client
CNC Doctors have been providing customers with high-quality service, maintenance, and modernization of CNC machines for more than 15 years. A proud holder of the ISO 9001:2015 certification, the company is currently taking care of more than 350 devices owned by 50+ clients.
Initial situation
In addition to maintenance and repair services, CNC Doctors have recently been focusing on Industry 4.0. Moreover, the firm helps its customers with the implementation of cobots and smart software.
To increase convenience for its customers and technicians, the company has also started using the Lumnio software.
How does the company use Lumnio?
Lumnio helps CNC Doctors in two ways:
- Firstly, the system is used as a remote (video) support tool for customers, who can easily search documentation and machine manuals stored in Lumnio‘s knowledge base. They can also generate service logs in the software. And when it’s necessary, the customers can simply click through Lumnio and contact a technician from CNC Doctors, who will provide them with advice.
Moreover, the CNC Doctors‘ team uses the know-how capture functionality of Lumnio to create maintenance manuals for the customers. - Additionally, Lumnio serves as a remote support tool for the company’s technicians in the field. The employees have access to Lumnio via smart glasses or mobile devices and can easily contact the control room whenever they need.

The CNC Doctors‘ customers now have access to machine documentation and manuals, as well as a quick way to contact technicians. As a result, the customers can handle basic maintenance on their own. This helps save time of the service team that doesn’t need to be dispatched because of trivialities—and it can put more effort into major repairs and tasks that are more important for the customers.
Furthermore, the company appreciates that Lumnio helps the technicians to get more work done in the field. It also likes that the employees—now equipped with smart glasses—have all the information they need and free hands for the service tasks.
